Dr. Diana Hincapie, Psy.D. specializes in the areas of geriatric psychology and neuropsychology. She has experience in both inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological evaluations of individuals with suspected brain dysfunction due to diseases of the central nervous system including traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accidents, neurodegenerative disease processes or impact on the brain as a result of chronic medical illnesses and/or their treatment. Dr. Hincapie is able to serve both English and Spanish speaking populations.
Dr. Hincapie completed her doctoral studies at Nova Southeastern University and completed her predoctoral internship at the Miami VA Healthcare System. Postdoctoral training was completed with the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Center of Cognitive Neuroscience & Aging, where their National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded research focused on developing cross-culturally appropriate neuropsychological measures for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease in both English and Spanish speaking populations. Dr. Hincapie has made significant contributions to the field through her involvement in various research publications. Furthermore, she actively participates in outreach initiatives, delivering medical lectures and presentations to raise awareness of degenerative conditions and promote greater understanding and support within the community.
