Social Activities

  • Board Games Mondays @ 10:15 A.M.
    Games like Mexican Train, Canasta, and Rummy will be available every Monday. Games are a fun way to improve cognitive function over time, especially learning games!
  • Bingo Every Tuesdays @ 12:00 Noon.
    We play eight games of Bingo. This is an hour of fun and getting to know each other. Please feel free to bring snacks to eat during the games.

  • Card Game Mondays @ 11:30 A.M.
    Games like Canasta and Rummy will be available every Monday. Games are a fun way to improve cognitive function over time, especially learning new games!
  • Multi-Medium Art Classes Mondays @ 1:30 pm
    The class is designed to have fun and to make friends. No artistic talent is required. Class size is limited. Art classes for seniors can improve cognitive and sensory-motor functions. This weekly art class will explore different styles of art and self-expression. 
  • Drum Circle is now the 4th Tuesday @ 3:00 pm
    Drum circles are contagious, spontaneous expressions of rhythm; and are a popular form of group recreation for people of all ages and from all walks of life. Anyone can drum and/or play percussion instruments and benefit from rhythm making without any former training or experience. The facilitator, Ossie Mair, takes his time teaching how to drum and how to drum freely. (Sign Up Attendance Only)
  • Sound bath is now the 3rd Friday @ 2:30 pm
    The Sound Bath Experience is a journey of pure sound and vibration. You will be bathed in the healing vibrations of gongs, Tibetan and Crystal Singing Bowls, Didgeridoos, Hand Pans, and other gentle, relaxing instruments during this experience. You are immersed in sound, allowing it to vibrate away the negativity and tension in your body and mind, replacing them with positivity, peace, and harmony. And because we all respond differently to similar stimuli, so too, each person will experience the sound bath in their own unique way. (Sign Up Attendance Only)
  • This Is My Story 3rd Tuesday @ 2:00 PM
    This Is My Story is a safe and fun session where we celebrate life’s journey through the sharing of stories. People underestimate the power of their stories; in this hour-long event we will share our stories with our peers. Our session is guided by a theme and each participant gets 5-10 minutes to share their story relating to the theme.
  • Brain Fitness 2nd Friday @1:30 PM
    Brain Fitness is a program for individuals concerned about memory loss. A healthy body and a healthy brain are essential to living a satisfying and independent life. To stay fit the brain needs regular activities that are both varied and stimulating. This is where our classes can help by providing variety and challenges to seniors through memory games. These games focus on reinforcing memorization through visual and auditory patterns.

Fitness Classes

  • Cardio Party: Monday at 12:15 AM
    This cardio exercise class improved mobility and strength. This class helps improve mobility and strength.
  • Chair Yoga: Tuesdays at 11:00 AM and Fridays at 12:30 PM
    Yoga is a great way to loosen and strengthen muscles, and improve flexibility improve.
  • Cardio, Balance and Stretching: Thursdays at 1:00 PM
    This class will improve your balance and strength while exercising to lively fun music.
  • Senior Self-Defense with Waren Tuesdays at 11:30 am
    Everybody needs to know how to protect themselves. This class offers a free way to learn simple defense techniques to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
  • Stretch & Balance:  Monday 10:30am with Meridith  & Thursdays @ 1 pm with Eva
    This class takes a calmer approach to improving mobility. Our instructors,  Meridith & Eva, help participants safely test their limits and strengthen their muscles in a low-impact environment.
  • Chair Yoga Tuesdays @ 1:15pm With Karen & Fridays @ 12:30pm with Meridith
    Yoga is an excellent way for mature  adults to loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce stress, and improve circulation. Chair yoga is a calmer and less strenuous version of this exercise that allows participants to go at their own pace and decide their own limits.

    A twelve-step program for people with problems relating to food. 
  • Alcoholics  Anonymous:  Senior Sobriety Friday @ 10:30 A.M.
    A twelve-step program for anyone who experiences problems with alcohol. 

  • Healing and Grief Support 3rd Thursday @ 2:00 pm
    Learn how to heal from your grief.
  • Brain Fitness: 2nd Friday at 2:00 PM
    Our Behavioral Health Department focuses on reinforcing memorization and helping to exercise our brains. (Reservations for Attendance Required 561-437-8300)

    A twelve-step program for people with problems relating to food. Food-related issues may include compulsive overeating, binging disorders, bulimia, and anorexia. Anyone with a problematic relationship with food is welcomed.

     

  • AA   Alcoholics  Anonymous:  Senior Sobriety Friday @ 10:30 A.M.
    A twelve-step program for anyone who experiences  problems with alcohol. A fellowship of men and women who share their experience strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

     

  • Healing and Grief Support 3rd Thursday @ 2:00 pm with Theresa
    A grief support group offers a different quality of support and connection that stems from being with people who have also recently experienced a loss. Grief support groups provide emotional support, validation, and education about grief.

  • Anxiety Support 2nd Friday @ 3PM.
    Everyone suffers from some form of anxiety, whether that be daily or situational. As anxiety affects each of us this Anxiety Support Group is meant to help everyone process and deal with the anxiety of everyday life.
