Oana Ciurea, PA-C, joined the team at Hallandale Medical Center as a PA in 2010.
She was born in Romania, Transylvania and moved to the U.S. in 2011. She obtained a bachelors degree from Miami Dade College and then went on to get a masters degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Oana has also participated in various clinical research trials as well as part of her education.
She has always been passionate about helping people. One of her role models since childhood is Mother Theresa. A favorite quote of hers is, “We know only too well that what we are doing is nothing more than a drop in the ocean. But if the drop were not there, the ocean would be missing something.” Her philosophy towards patient treatment is, “It’s not how much we give and do, but how much love we put into giving and doing.”
Oana is fluent in English, Romanian, and Spanish. She is married with two lovely daughters. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and listening to music, as well as studying new languages and learning about other cultures.
